New digital platform
Purus wanted a new, user-friendly and stylish website that could handle all their markets, just as it had to be integrated with their PIM system inriver. Purus handles all their product data across countries and languages from their PIM system, and therefore it was paramount for them to have a well-functioning and time-saving integration.
For Purus, there was therefore no doubt that itpilot was the right partner to solve the task. We have previously delivered a similar solution to their sister company, Unidrain (read the case about Unidrain here). Purus AB and Unidrain A/S are both part of BLS Industries AB, which is a group within the plumbing industry.
Building a WordPress Multisite
The collaboration began with an in-depth workshop, where Purus' needs and wishes were identified and translated into clear project goals. Therefore, the solution became a WordPress multisite, which means that Purus has got a unified solution across languages and countries. By implementing WordPress as CMS, itpilot chose a platform that is not only easy to manage, but also ensures flexibility for future expansion, updating and further development.
With the new websites, Purus has got stylish, modern and responsive websites for each market with a clear navigation structure. The websites are based on the same framework, a WordPress multisite, which facilitates the technical administration and operation of the websites.
Integration with inriver PIM
Purus uses the PIM system inriver to handle all their product data, including images, specifications, product sheets, certificates, etc. With more than 750 different types of products plus all product variants, it was paramount for Purus that their new website could be integrated with inriver.
Through our collaboration with Purus' sister company Unidrain, the PIM application PIMpilot was developed with a focus on creating a seamless integration between inriver and WordPress/WooCommerce. Therefore, PIMpilot has also become part of Purus' overall solution.
PIMpilot ensures efficient management of product data and automated updating of the products on the website. Purus can thus easily maintain their extensive product catalog from one central system. It not only ensures accuracy in the presentation of the products online, but also frees up resources internally by eliminating duplication of work and ensuring consistent data management.

Purus' new multisite and PIMpilot integration has created a coherent and efficient digital platform that strengthens their global presence. By combining Scandinavian design with digital expertise, itpilot has delivered a solution that not only meets Purus' current needs, but also positions them strongly for future growth.
