Cyklop-Emballering A/S has got a new Prestashop webshop. In addition, Cyklop has chosen itpilot to host their web hotel.
Cyklop previously had a Joomla! webshop, but due to specially developed elements from their previous developer, it was complicated to successfully build on the webshop. This also applied in relation to updates of Joomla - and it was because of a necessary update of Joomla, where Cyklop's Joomla version would reach end of life in mid-August 2023, that caused Cyklop to contact itpilot.
Short project process
The switch from Joomla to Prestashop has proceeded according to plan and without problems. Therefore, the project course has also been short - however interrupted (and slightly extended) by the summer holidays. The short and professional project process has meant that Cyklop has a new, well-tested solution before their Joomla installation reaches the end of life.
Future-proof solution
With the new Prestashop solution, Cyklop has a future-proof solution that makes it possible to develop further on the webshop in the long term. This applies both in relation to new functionality and if design changes are to be made in the future.
Prestashop also gives Cyklop a better overview of their customers and orders, and it is possible for them to see more statistics on the webshop's performance. In other words, the Prestashop solution has given Cyklop a large number of additional advantages that they did not have before.
In addition, Cyklop has also had a Cookiebot solution implemented, so that they now also comply with the applicable cookie legislation.

In addition to a stable and future-proof webshop, Cyklop has also chosen to let itpilot handle the hosting of their solution. The solution is thus administered and operated from our top-secured hosting center.
