Vigsø Feriecenter
In cooperation with Vigsø Feriecenter itpilot has designed and developed a new and up-to-date responsive Joomla website with simplified navigation and structure on the page.
Vigsø Feriecenter is a holiday center for the whole family, located in the middle of nature, northeast of Hanstholm in Thy, and within walking distance to the sea. The holiday center offers experiences for the whole family – the centre's facilities include a large water park, motocross track, wellness offer, playground, large outdoor area, restaurant etc.
The holiday center was built in 1967-1970 and today houses 174 holiday homes and a holiday hotel in the middle of Vigsø town. There are therefore plenty of opportunities to holiday at Vigsø Feriecenter.
Design and development of a new Joomla website for the holiday centre
Vigsø Feriecenter wanted to have a new design for their new website, where the focus was on simplicity, easy and clear navigation for website visitors as well as an up-to-date and responsive design, so that it is possible to access and find the holiday centre's information from all mobile devices.
In addition, the holiday center wanted to focus on the beautiful nature around Vigsø as well as the surrounding attractions in the area on the website, which e.g. is solved with a list/map display with a Google Maps integration.
Connected language module and integration with Danland booking system
In addition, the website solution has been prepared with a language module, if the holiday center wishes to have a website set up in English/German at a later date, and an integration has been created for Danland's booking system, where guests book their stay at the holiday centre. Therefore, there is now easy access to booking and further information about all the holiday centre's many facilities directly from the front page.
During the entire design and development process, we have focused heavily on a good dialogue with the customer, so that the customer has received the best possible solution based on their wishes and requirements for the website.
SEO optimization and SoMe integration
itpilot has also ensured that the new website receives SEO optimization by means of redirects of links and basic SEO setup of the website, so that the page can be easily searched with online search engines such as Google.
Furthermore, the page can interact with the holiday centre's social media profiles, where the latest posts on the media can be displayed directly on the page.
We also provide training for the customer in managing the back-end, so that they can quickly and easily change the content of the website themselves as they wish.
We provide secure operation, hosting and SSL certificate
In addition to the website solution itself, itpilot also provides hosting of the holiday centre's domain, where we ensure that the solution is managed and operated from our top-secured hosting centre.
We also make sure that the website gets an SSL certificate, which ensures the page's visitors with encryption of their information - in other words, Vigsø Feriecenter's website is safe to visit.
